Training SupportSBAR has been very active in supporting the MK 57 NSSMS program training during the past 3 years. We are involved in all aspects of NSSMS training from the legacy equipment at FCTCLANT Dam Neck, VA to scheduling and conducting initial ship crew training for major upgrades to the system. We have provided MK 57 Mod 4-9 training to CVN 68, CVN 76, and LHD 7 crews. We were recently involved in the oversight of the development of a Visual Interactive Simulation Training Application (VISTAÔ) computer based training program for the operation and maintenance training of the Mod 4-9 program. The VISTAÔ program will be used in a new advanced electronic classroom environment. SBAR is also involved in the scheduling and training of new Navy instructors at FCTCLANT Dam Neck, VA on new system upgrades. MCA Engineers, currently an operating division of SBAR, provides engineering, analysis, design, development, and testing services in support of Port Hueneme Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (PHD NSWC); the Vertical Launching System (VLS) In-Service Engineering Agent. This involves direct and indirect support of the VLS system including tactical programs, maintenance programs, expert systems, technical documentation, computer based training, and other training requirements. Portions of the tasks include support to Foreign Military Sales (FMS) equipment, programs and operations. The bulk of the work involves design, development, and maintenance of VLS training and interactive courseware in accordance with individual Task Orders. |
