The U.S. Air Force announced on Tuesday, 1 November, that they intend to award to SBAR a 10-year contract to provide Base Operating Services (BOS) at the Pittsburgh International Airport (IAP)- Air Reserve Station (ARS), PA. The work will be performed on-site at the Pittsburgh IAP-ARS and the total value is estimated at ~$30 million.
SBAR and its teaming partner Maytag Aircraft will provide all personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, test equipment, and other items and services necessary to accomplish Supply, Vehicle Operations and Maintenance, Traffic management, Real Property Maintenance, Fuels Management, and Airfield Management.
SBAR will perform the Management, Supply, Traffic Management, and Real Property Maintenance functions, and Maytag Aircraft, will provide the other required services. Maytag is successfully performing these functions on other ARS BOS contracts.
Winning this contract is an important step in SBAR’s quest to expand its business base in the Department of Defense (DOD) Operations and Maintenance arena.
